Home Depot expanded their current market to a new level with the introduction of the Home Depot Design Center. They opened their first location in San Diego, CA to test out this new concept and have since expanded to two additional locations.
I had the opportunity to work on a custom pocket folder aligned with the new branding. They wanted something simple, but eye catching to catch people already shopping at one of their Home Depot locations. The outside of the folder has a simple design with the excitement coming from the oversized ampersand and the use of a silver ink next to soft touch coating. Home Depot shoppers are very hands on so having something textural helps to gain their interest. We also incorporated a die cut for the logo to bring the orange to the outside of the folder. The inside is a bright orange soft touch with silver ink pockets. This gives the Home Depot Design Center a high end look while still reaching their current customer.
