Client Maple Bank Farm Services Identity Design Firm Freelance Role GraphicDesigner
Maple Bank Farm is a local vegetable and fruit production farm located in Roxbury, CT. They had gone through a shift in ownership and were looking for a new identity they could use to brand their online and local presence.
Original Identity
The old logo captured the local, hand-made feel, but was not able to be used in all cases (such as signage). It was time for a modern update to make its use more versatile.
New Identity
The new identity still maintains the historical significance of the farm with the inclusion of the location and established date. We decided on a serif font to keep some of the original logo alive and to avoid being too streamlined. The cotyledon leaf represents growing from the ground up. The client didn’t want to focus specifically on any one vegetable or fruit as they bring a wide variety of produce to the market. If you know your microgreens you may have an idea of what plant we used as reference. (hint: It’s a bit spicy…)
I also designed a round logo to go with their system. This version can be used for stickers and stamps as well as for social media.
